Born and raised in NJ, JoAnn moved to Mount Laurel with her children over a decade ago. In addition to fulfilling her dream of owning her own business, she also works as a registered nurse and has worked in the health services industry for over 30 years.

JoAnn has been involved in various arts and crafts her whole life. Learning to sew at an early age, she is an accomplished seamstress, making things such as customized baby blankets to bags and everything in between. Her experience with pottery and ceramics began when she took classes as a young adult. Since then, she has continued to paint and create pieces using many different techniques. She has been a customer at the Ceramic Barn for several years, learning new techniques and methods from the previous owner before purchasing the studio in December of 2006.
